A Sunday Perspective At Burnt Garlic
On 12th February, at her restaurant Burnt Garlic, Esha Dutta organized a wonderful Sunday Special Brunch with pop-ups in personal accents, confectionary and home furnishings. Friends gathered there together, encouraged each other selecting well-priced clothing and jewelry, whilst others picked up home décor items and a number of the freshly baked goodies. Priyanka Khanna designed a light-summery line of clothing from cotton and gamcha tops, capes and over-shirts which were all under Rs. 2017! The chunky evening wear costume jewelry was crafted by students from the Sawansukha Institute and Tabassum Iqbal prepared the cakes, biscuits, breads and cookies ably-assisted by her son who helped customers to choose from the wide array of edibles. After completing their retail therapy, groups of women trotted upstairs to enjoy a leisurely Sunday brunch with their friends, whilst sipping unlimited sangria from a well-crafted menu. We were heartened to be told that this is to become a monthly affair which should encourage others to join in and celebrate good food combined with a bit of retail therapy with their family and friends.
