JITO (Jain International Trade Organization) proudly announced the successful conclusion of the highly anticipated JITO Ahimsa Run 2.0, which took place on 31st March, starting from The Stadel Hotel, Salt Lake. This event aimed to promote the message of non-violence while fostering a spirit of health and fitness among participants of all ages.

The esteemed Arun Lal, former National Indian Cricketer and Currently Bengal Coach, graced the occasion as Chief Guests, adding prestige and excitement to this celebration of peace and fitness. Guests of Honor included Sunil Kr. Mehta (Ex Dir. of Finance, Coal India) and Probir Sarker (Para-athlete).

The event featured three exciting variants catering to individuals of varying fitness levels: the 3K Fun Run, the 5K Timed Run, and the challenging 10K Timed Run. Participants, ranging from 12 years of age up to 84-year-old seasoned walkers, as well as running groups, solo enthusiasts, and families from across West Bengal, enthusiastically registered for this exhilarating event.

The Ahimsa Run 2.0 commenced with an electrifying opening ceremony at 5:30 am, followed by the flag-off for the 10K run at 5:45 am, the 5K Flag off was at 6:10 am, and the 3K flag off at 6:30 am. Participants were provided with timing bibs to ensure accurate tracking of their performance throughout the run.

Arun Lal, former National Indian Cricketer and Cricket Commentator said, “Participating in events like the Ahimsa Run not only promotes physical well-being but also fosters a sense of compassion within our society. It's heartening to witness individuals from all walks of life and various fitness levels coming together to promote peace and fitness. Following the run, the event culminated in an awards ceremony and expressions of gratitude at The Stadel Hotel.
