Sasha’s newest collection was launched and on display for eager admirers on the 25th and 26th of March at the Park Hotel. The objective of the exhibition according to the renowned fair trade company was to make Sasha an ‘affordable luxury brand’.  The company was vocal about its endeavour to bring luxury items to the common man at affordable prices, as well as focus upon working with several artisans and craftsmen at the grassroot level.

There were a range of items of interest, all made of sustainable material, including bags and an array of fusion and ethnic handloom clothing. The bags were of all sizes, from large ones for travel, to smaller slings, all charming in designs, hues and styles. Suitable for any occasion owing to their versatility, these delectable products earned great appreciation.

Sasha’s wide range of clothing comprised fusion wear as well as casual traditional items of various patterns, from polka dots, to stripes, floral prints and every other imaginable design. Their casual and trendy look makes them appropriate for any kind of social setting. The more fashionable items included printed shirts and kaftan-inspired kurtas.

The fabric employed for these marvellous creations were all in cotton and muslin, making them perfect for Kolkata’s presently balmy atmosphere.

The exhibition was evidently fruitful in its mission to promote sustainable, luxury clothing to the masses. The alluring designs and attractive products are undoubtedly worthy of attention, and are still available in the Sasha store. Sasha’s attempt to coalesce fair trade, worker’s welfare and fashion was an undeniable success.
