The bi-annual much-awaited event, Pause for a Cause took place in Kolkata from the 11-13th January at its usual locale on Ironside Road. The exhibition-cum-sale of high quality handloom, heritage and printed Indian textiles, stylish, elegant contemporary wear, jewelry and accessories was organized by Secure Giving Events in aid of charity. Kolkata got its taste of wearable, well-crafted and fashionable clothing from retailers such as Diya Mehta Clothing and Fatima Punjaabi (Mumbai), Upasana Integral Design Studio (Auroville), Devieche (Delhi), embroidery experts Mulberry Blue (Kolkata) Jaipur-based Omaana, Dot (Ahmedabad), sustainable and organic clothing from Vaayu, Forline Weaving, and fabrics from Hari Om Hand Printers (Jaipur) and Gamthiwala from Ahmedabad. There were a number of stalls exhibiting Benarasi saris, stoles and dupattas, jutis, accessories including bags, scarves, stoles, mats, bed linen and jewelry.
