Starmark, Quest Mall in association with Readomania launched Museum Of Memories, a collection of 13 soul stirring short stories by Amrita Mukherjee on April 21st.  Guests of honor included actors Moon Moon Sen and Biplab Dasgupta and fashion designer Agnimitra Paul. Museum Of Memories has some of the interesting short stories related to a surrogate mother narrating her emotional ordeal; a house-husband telling narrating his story; an innocent girl entering the not-so-innocent world; a judgmental woman questioning her friend’s Face book posts…and many more. These stories chronicle the journey of discovering life. Amrita Mukherjee, used her experience as a journalist to delve deeper into situations and realized that people tended to reveal a lot about themselves when the dictaphone was switched off. She also collected stories from conversations gathered at the office cafeteria, at drawing room discussions, during interactions with strangers while traveling on the metro and whilst talking to other moms waiting to collect their sons at the school gates. This book is extremely enjoyable and engaging due to subject matter and writing style. It allows insights into the lives of people whom we may interact with on a daily basis. The paperback version of Museum Of Memories: A Collection of Soul-Stirring Stories by Amrita Mukherjee, is available in stores at INR 250.
