FIREFLIES in Seventh Heaven!
Among the many successful multi-designer expositions that happen in the city in springtime, is Fireflies, curated by four enterprising women − Sneha Tapdiya, Priti Agarwal, Saloni Bhalotia and Shillpi Goel. This year, in their seventh edition, the number of stalls had shot up to 75, which included wearable and hi-end couture, precious and semi-precious jewelry lines, home décor and also live opportunities to sample beauty products and packages. The collections came from as far afield as Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Delhi, Baroda, Mumbai, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Bangalore.
Following demonetization, facilities to swipe credit cards made it easy for the throngs of shoppers. The exhibition was graced by the Who’s Who of the city which included several leading actresses from Tollywood like Rituparna Sengupta, June Maliah and Rachana Banerjee. As also the cast and crew of the upcoming Bengali film “Meher Ali.” With actor Hiraan Chatterjee, actress Amrita Chattopadhyay and singer Anindita present to encourage the team.
