A FIAPO webinar that I attended recently made me sit up and notice this vegan restaurant in our very city of Kolkata. It was a eco-friendly community cafe the first of its kind in Kolkata. They not only serve very delicious designer food but also hold dialogues with the community around them to make them conscious about a vegan way of life. They encourage people to adopt green living practices. It seems like a cool place where one can hang out with like-minded people, have a meal, have meet-ups and also stay for a few days.
It was a meeting by chance where I could interact with Abhinav Bajpai (Ubuntu Community), and Richie Sharma (travel Love Repeat). At the FIAPO Learn from Leaders webinar, they spoke on Living your Passion the Plant Based Way. It was a very interesting session. Earlier when travel was possible they organised Vegan trips in India and also outside India in various destinations making travel combined with food a wonderful experience.
Visiting their FB page I found this recently posted Butter Chicken - yes, imagine cruelty-free Chicken tikka pieces prepared on a plant-based buttery gravy with the addition of plant-based cream giving the curry sauce a silky smoothy texture! @ubuntucommunity3 has launched this recently, and you must try it out! Just DM or WhatsApp them for direct orders, and they will deliver it to your doorstep, taking care of all safety precautions.
Always ready to experiment with new creative dishes I ordered and tried this out. It was such an experience. My taste buds were happy and my soul knew such peace.
I have more to discover and am planning to do so in the days to come to cheer up the lockdown hours. Since the Dine In is closed the Takeaway and Delivery are always busy and ready to take calls for orders.
