We.Desi is the modern Desi comfort food Gastro Pub that takes you back to capture the memories of your favorite foods. The décor of the 106-seater restaurant reflects the concept of ‘down memory lane’ with old-time pictures, music and accessories.

Innovation is what tickles your taste buds in their signature dishes from their appetizers, main course or their eclectic cocktails. We started with a unique intoxicating Long Island ‘Palang Todh’ served in a flat metal-bed with a floating duck priced at Rs. 300. The Kerala Coconut Mohito was served in a fresh Coconut – the white rum laced with mint and curry leaves was very refreshing at Rs. 200. The most amazing appetizer was their Talwaari Malai Murg (Rs.345) which was served on a metal pole which symbolized an old fashioned sword. The one square foot sabz seekh along with the paneer cigars made the vegetarian flair more exciting than ever before!  The Malaai Bharwan Khumb priced at Rs. 195 was delicious as it was elegantly stuffed with cottage cheese and cream. This was served in an old fashioned metal chest.

In the main course, the exotic signature was the “Khichra” (Rs. 295) which was made with black dal and succulent mutton served with a variety of garnishes. This was a twist to the old time favorite Khichdi…that just hit your dining sweet spot! Another must try was the Punjabi kadhi which had a unique element of the pakoras stuffed with rice.

We.Desi also serves a cutting chai set meal with old time favorite items like Maska malai toast, Vada pao, Bun samosa ghugni and Bread pakodas to name a few.

To complete this mouth-watering food experience, we tried some authentic desserts like the “Nolen gur ka sandook” priced at Rs. 175 which was a chocolate sponge filled with nolen gur.

Overall dining experience was that of home-style Indian food at very pocket-friendly prices and a definite recommend!! A perfect innovative fun dining experience of Indian Cuisine!
