Tamarind, Kolkata has introduced the special Pongal Menu that will give your taste buds a hint of South India.

As the sun enters Uttarayan on Sunday, signalling the end of winter and the beginning of longer days, the entire city will experience a day of fresh starts. Kolkatans spend Makar Sankranti, a harvest holiday celebrated by all communities, cleaning and purchasing ingredients for traditional cuisines.

This restaurant, which is close to Deshapriya Park, has become a popular spot for people who like authentic traditional South Indian cuisine. The harvest festival that is celebrated throughout India with traditional delicacies is now available at Tamarind with its Pongal celebration offering some sterling lip-smacking traditional South Indian dishes.
