Wow! Momo Celebrates Their Differently-Abled Employees on International Day of Disabled Persons
On the occasion of International Day of Disabled Persons, Indian fast food restaurant chain Wow! Momo held a special event this year to acknowledge the contribution and efforts of the differently-abled employees in their organization.
The one-of-a-kind in-office event had other prominent partners such as Kreamz Cakes & more (food), Container Kebab (food), KSS The Originals (entertainment), Tericom and Digital Brandz as their PR and Social Media partners. The event was graced by Tollywood celebrities, journalists and other employees. Followed by a speech by Wow! Momo city head, SunayanGhorai, the differently-abled employees were felicitated with bouquets, food packets, and tokens of appreciation.
Mr. Ghorai was quoted saying, “I don’t believe they are “differently” abled. There is nothing “different” about them. They are similar to all our other employees in terms of their quality of work and dedication. I am extremely glad to have them in our organization. In the coming years, Wow! Momo wishes to launch an outlet that will entirely be run by them, from staff to managers. We hope to realize that dream soon.”
About Wow! Momo Wow! Momo is an Indian chain of fast food restaurants headquartered in Kolkata. The chain specializes in momos, momo-filled burgers (MoBurgs) and momo-based desserts. It was established in 2008 by St. Xavier's College alumni SagarDaryani and Binod Homagai.
As of March 2021, there are around 350 outlets across 17 cities in India. The company aims to be an IPO in a few years with plans to gain a global foothold. Wow! Momo Foods in 2021 emerged as the most valued homegrown QSR brand in India with a valuation of Rs. 1,225 crores.
